Little Medical School – Calgary offers one-of-a-kind opportunities for young learners ages 4-12 to immerse themselves in the fascinating worlds of medicine and healthcare. We inspire imagination and passion by exploring such diverse topics as first aid, doctor\u2019s tools, the workings of organ systems, sports injuries, medical life skills and how to care for animals. Each of our programs offers multiple hours of fun, interactive instruction led by one of our trained and qualified instructors. At the end of each course, your little doctor, veterinarian, nurse, dentist or pharmacist will receive a diploma in an exciting graduation ceremony.<\/p>\n

Little Medical School – Calgary hosts programs on-site at community centers, recreation centers, schools, groups\/associations, etc. all over Calgary. Browse and Register<\/a> for an upcoming course or Create a Custom Program<\/a> with us.<\/p>\n

The 6 week-programs below are not necessarily subsequent levels to each other. For example, a student can take LMS2 before LMS1. Your child can take any 6-week program in any order.<\/p>\n

Little Medical School 1 – Tools, Heart, Lungs & More<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/figure>\nSix hours of fun and learning about the anatomy and physiology of the heart, lungs, digestive system, and the use medical instruments, as well as learning some basic suturing skills! Students get to take home a real working stethoscope and more!

Little Medical School 2 – First Aid, Brain, Spine & “That Is Gross!”<\/h4>\n
\"Close<\/figure>\nSix hours of fun and learning where essential life skills of administering First Aid, appreciating the wonders of our powerful brain, anatomy of the vertebral spine, understanding things that are gross such as snots, burps and farts, and practicing writing doctor’s prescriptions (also understanding math). Students get to take home their own first aid kit that they put together and more!

Little Medical School 3 – Eyes, Ears, CPR & X-Rays<\/h4>\n
\"Three<\/figure>\nSix hours of fun and learning about the wonders of our eyes and ears, using real medical instruments for testing vision and hearing, learning x-rays, broken bones, how they are treated, and the importance of food and how our body uses it. Students will also practice life-saving techniques of CPR and Heimlich maneuver! Students get to take home a Little Medical School certificate for learning CPR and Heimlich techniques and more!

Little Medical School – Future Pediatrician<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/figure>\nSix hours of content where students will assume the role of a pediatrician, a doctor who takes care of babies and children, and learn how to hold a baby, do an exam just like a real doctor, change a diaper and keeping the baby safe! Students get to take home their adopted Little Medical School plush baby doll and more!

Little Veterinarian School 1 – Dog<\/h4>\n
\"\"<\/figure>\nSix hours of content where students will assume the role of a veterinarian physician and surgeon caring for canine\/dog health. Our Little Veterinarians will get to perform dog assessments making a nose to tail exam, keeping dog healthy with proper dog nutrition, learn about ticks, caring for lacerations and also learn some basic surgical skills, immunization and more! Students will get to take home and adopt their own Little Medical School Premium plush dog and more!
