This fun, fascinating and thoroughly educational program lets them take it to a whole other level. Over six hours of interactive instruction, kids will have a chance to learn about how a pediatrician cares for babies and how to be a great sibling to a newborn little brother or sister!<\/p>\n<p>This course was designed by a team of board-certified physicians and is led by a trained and background-checked instructor passionate about sharing their medical knowledge with young and aspiring \u201cdoctors to be.\u201d When your child receives his or her diploma on graduation day, they\u2019ll beam with pride and be ready to teach you everything they\u2019ve learned.<\/p>\n<img width=\"250\" height=\"200\" \/>\n<h2>COURSE CLASSES<\/h2>\n<h3>A Baby is Born!<\/h3>\n<p>Students will adopt a baby, and learn about the umbilical cord and how to cut the cord from the baby.<\/p>\n<h3>Caring for a Baby!<\/h3>\n<p>Students learn how to examine a baby, practice putting a diaper on a baby, and how to prevent diaper rash.<\/p>\n<h3>The 3 B&#8217;s&#8230;Burps, Bottles and Baths<\/h3>\n<p>Students learn why a baby burps and practice ways to burp a baby, learn how to feed a baby, and learn how to give a baby a sponge bath.<\/p>\n<h3>Emergencies and Vaccinations!<\/h3>\n<p>Learn about vaccinations and why we need them, learn why babies choke and how to perform the Heimlich maneuver and perform infant CPR.<\/p>\n<h3>Preparing for a Sibling<\/h3>\n<p>Students will learn how to keep a baby safe when they sleep, discuss the Finnish Baby Box and make their own and write their own book to read to the baby and learn a song to sing at bedtime.<\/p>\n<h3>Review and Graduation<\/h3>\n<p>Discuss key concepts and vocabulary. Learn about becoming a pediatrician and graduate with a diploma.<\/p>\n<a title=\"Register\" href=\"https:\/\/littlemedicalschool.com\/chicagowest\/registration\/\">REGISTER<\/a>\n<h2>QUICK FACTS<\/h2>\n<h3>Duration:<\/h3>\n<p>6 hours of total instruction, your choice of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Six 1-hour sessions<\/li>\n<li>Three 2-hour sessions<\/li>\n<li>One 6-hour session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Class Size:<\/h3>\n<p>8-12 students per class, recommended*<\/p>\n<h3>Age Range:<\/h3>\n<p>6-12 years (regular curriculum)<\/p>\n<p>4-5 years (pre-reader curriculum)<\/p>\n<h3>What LMS Provides:<\/h3>\n<p>One trained LMS instructor per class and a \u201cPediatrician\u2019s Bag\u201d activity kit for each student to keep<\/p>\n<p>*To ensure our instructors may provide personal attention to every student, we recommend 8-12 students per class. For larger groups, we will provide multiple instructors and separate the group into smaller classes.
