SUMMARY:Marine Biology – Sea Turtle Summer Camp at Harding Academy
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Marine Biologists! \nDive into the world of marine biology on this extraordinary expedition! Our program gives participants a hands-on\, dynamic introduction to sea turtles. Each participant will become the caretaker of a plush sea turtle\, conduct health checks\, explore the diversity of sea turtle species\, and join a team effort to rescue and release a plush Leatherback sea turtle back into the wild. The adventure concludes with a special graduation ceremony\, where participants are equipped to advocate for the protection of sea turtles! We will begin with a white coat ceremony and end with a graduation ceremony.  \nThis is an experience full of STEM-based learning\, activities\, and crafts.  \nOur teachings are based on STEM principles. We aim to ignite the passion of future healthcare heroes and get them excited about how the body works\, as well as the importance of health! Your child will return home with materials to show you what they learned. Of note\, all the necessary materials for each class are provided to students. At the end of the session\, the program ends with an informal graduation ceremony where each student receives a personalized diploma.  \nBoard-certified physicians and experts in the field of child education have collaborated to write our curriculum. Our instructors are well-trained and they have an interest in health sciences and education. They will deliver fun\, engaging\, and interactive content. Additionally\, all our instructors are background checked.  \nYour kid will make new friends as teamwork\, role-playing and collaboration are key parts of our activities. Your child will have an unforgettable time filled with lots of fun\, fun…and fun!   \nAbout the location \nHarding Academy is a private K-8 school located in Memphis\, Tennessee with the mission to inspire their students’ intellectual development\, embrace their balanced\, personal growth\, and develop well-prepared leaders and positive contributors to our 21st-century society. Therefore\, we are happy to partner with Harding Academy for this program! \nSafety procedures \nKeeping in mind the safety of our children\, staff\, and volunteers\, we follow applicable public health guidelines. All children are expected to abide by the safety rules in class. With this in mind\, before beginning our sessions\, our team sets safety expectations with kids if needed. These include but are not limited to the following:  \n\nActivity safety rules \nPlaytime safety rules \nOutdoor rules \n\nKindergarten-5th grade. Camp size is limited.
