About this role

We are looking for a Program Administrator to coordinate operations and people for various programs in our organization.

Program Administrator responsibilities include managing business development activities, recruiting staff, communicating with stakeholders and coordinating program delivery. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experience in people management. If you’re also a dedicated worker and a problem-solver, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure our programs run smoothly and achieve their purpose.

 

Program Administrator Job Duties:

  • Promotes/markets/presents the Little Medical School to targeted audiences. Sells Little Medical School courses. Establishes positive relationships with Little Medical School customers.
  • Finalizes and confirms agreements to provide Little Medical School courses. Books and tracks commitments to provide courses with schools and other customers.
  • Identify, recruit, vet and train instructors for the Little Medical School, ensuring that all instructors are thoroughly qualified to instruct at their assigned venues. Verify that instructors meet all insurance requirements and pass a background check.
  • Schedules instructors to present Little Medical School courses, by maintaining an up-to-date listing of qualified instructors. Establishes a backup plan to provide coverage of all Little Medical School courses. Teaches classes, if necessary.
  • Acts as the emergency contact for instructors and schools. Responds to emergency situations as deemed necessary.
  • Serves as the point of contact for all instructor-related issues.
  • Works with upper management to tailor the course of study for different age groups and venues.
  • Coordinates with the instructors material pick-up and delivery.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following and enforcing established written standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Must reside in Ottawa
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Business Administration or a relevant field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience is required.
  • Experience in program management.
  • Experience in sales.
  • Experience in marketing and advertising on digital platforms.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • WordPress experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge in recruitment processes.
  • Previous experience as people lead.
  • Experience in customer service, with abilities to act as a resource person.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and French (required).
  • Experience working with kids (preferred).
  • Experience in healthcare (preferred).
  • Reliable transportation (required).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Remote, Travel to different locations within the Ottawa-Gatineau region is involved.

Contract length: 12 months with opportunity for renewal

Salary: Starting $30,000.00 per year
