All kids love to dress up and play nurse. This fun, fascinating and thoroughly educational program let them take it to a whole other level. Over six hours of interactive instruction, kids will have a chance to learn what a nurse does. They will even get to go home with their own scrub top and penlight!<\/p>\n

This course was designed by a team of board-certified physicians and is led by a trained and background-checked instructor passionate about sharing their medical knowledge with young and aspiring \u201cnurses to be.\u201d When your child receives his or her diploma on graduation day, they\u2019ll beam with pride and be ready to teach you everything they\u2019ve learned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What’s in the Nurses Pocket?<\/h3>\n

Students will learn to perform an assessment like a real nurse, use instruments that nurses use, and make their own ID badge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Shots and Vaccinations<\/h3>\n

Students learn about<\/span> immunizations and why they are important, learn the types of medications the nurse gives as a shot, practice giving shots with different medications, dosages, and at different rates and learn the importance of the flu vaccine for patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Is there a Surgical Nurse in the House?<\/h3>\n

Students learn the important roles nurses play before, during, and after surgery, learn the importance of preparing and keeping track of surgical instruments during an operation and practice putting in and removing sutures after an operation!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Blood!<\/h3>\n

Students learn what the different components of the blood do, and what happens when parts of the blood don\u2019t work correctly.\u00a0 They even get to make their own blood!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Broken Bones<\/h3>\n

Students will learn why bones breaks, learn the different types of broken bones and how to do a nursing assessment of a broken bone.\u00a0 Then will get to practice casting and splinting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nursing Fun and Graduation!<\/h3>\n

Discuss key concepts learned and decide where he or she wants to work as a nurse and graduate with a diploma.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
