We work closely with homeschool families and parent groups to devise custom lessons plans for their kids which cover a wide range of medical disciplines: general physicians, sports medicine, nursing, veterinary and pharmacy.<\/p>\n<b>Our curriculum may include:<br \/>\n<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding the tools that doctors use<\/li>\n<li>The human body and organ systems<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/littlemedicalschool.com\/midsouth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2018\/02\/homeschool.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Nutrition and the science of eating<\/li>\n<li>Applying basic first aid and treating common sports injuries<\/li>\n<li>What pharmacists do and why medicine works<\/li>\n<li>Performing CPR and the Heimlich maneuver*<\/li>\n<li>Caring for pets and what to do in case of animal injuries<\/li>\n<li>Much, much more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And the best part is, we come to you! You provide the space &#8211; even a private residence &#8211; and we will provide all of the class materials. All of our programs are taught by exemplary instructors who have passed our rigorous background check process and who have experience with and a natural love of teaching children. We will capture kids&#8217; imaginations with our interactive activities. They&#8217;ll role play, work with models, develop skills, draw, think creatively &#8230; and most importantly, they&#8217;ll learn!<\/p>\n<p><i>*Our program does not offer CPR certification<\/i><\/p>\n<h2>Program Details<\/h2>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Programs are hosted at the venue of your choice &#8211; we come to you!<br \/>\n<strong>Duration<\/strong>: Most programs include 6 hours of instruction, in the following formats: six 1-hour classes, three 2-hour classes, one 6-hour class<br \/>\n<strong>Ages<\/strong>: Programs are designed for grades 4-16. A pre-reader curriculum is available.<br \/>\n<strong>Class Size<\/strong>: We require a minimum of 8 children per program. To ensure our instructors may provide personal attention to everyone, we recommend 8-15 students per session.
