Little Medical School Summer Camps provide a fun, creative, hands-on play experience and STEM education all at once! Our programs run throughout the summer in various locations. See full schedule below!
Most camp sessions run 5 days a week. The schedule balances program sessions with snack and lunch breaks throughout the day. There are additional recess times throughout the program. Our summer camps include our most popular courses with an emphasis on summer fun!

Summer Camp Programs & Descriptions
Thinking about a career in medicine? Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor and learn about vital organs in the human body. These future doctors will learn how to use a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and reflex hammer. They will practice administering first aid, learn how pharmacists play a role in administering medications, and more!
Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for their very own plush puppy. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, suture lacerations, and more!
Campers will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, and design a vet clinic.
Biting at the bit to learn more about horses? This equine camp is for you! Become a vet for a week and learn all about the care and maintenance of a horse. Take an oath and use real medical tools to keep your newly adopted plush horse happy and healthy. After learning about horse anatomy, riding styles, and nutrition you can ride into the sunset with your
diploma. Giddyup!
Students will learn to manage outdoor challenges, including insect and snake bites, and poisonous plants, alongside skills in hike preparation, map reading, compass use, identifying animal tracks and wildlife encounters. They’ll also master survival
techniques such as splint setting, tourniquet use, water purification, hypothermia care, and emergency bandana uses. Additionally, they’ll cover how to respond to severe weather like tornadoes, hurricanes, and wildfires, and how to signal for help.
Camp participants will explore and role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor and how to administer first aid in emergency situations. These future doctors will learn about lung disease, how to perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver, broken bones, hypothermia, how to use a stethoscope, snake bites, discuss the steps to becoming a doctor, and more.
Dive into the deep ocean with us! This program offers a dynamic, hands-on introduction to marine biology. Participants will conduct ocean experiments, adopt
a plush sea turtle, and partake in a collaborative rescue and release of a Leatherback sea turtle. Along their journey, they’ll uncover the mysteries of ocean layers,
vertebrates vs. invertebrates, water pressure, and more! They’ll also explore marine mammals, ocean animal babies, and ocean
predators. This engaging program culminates in their graduation as Little Marine Biologists, empowering them to protect our oceans!
Uncover the clues and crack the case! This hands-on summer camp immerses students in forensic science through activities like fingerprinting, crime scene security, the Bertillion system, age progression, and sensory sharpening exercises. They’ll experiment with DNA, chromatography, toxicology, and analyze handwriting, shoe
prints, composite drawings, blood typing, and spatter. The program concludes with a thrilling team challenge to solve a crime!
Keep your favourite player in the game! In our Sports Medicine Summer Camp, students will
role-play the key responsibilities of a sports medicine physician through learning about cramping, Athlete’s Foot, why we sweat, hand and knee injuries, hydration, stretching, concussions, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Age is program dependent, most of our summer camps allow ages 5-11 to enroll. Some specialty programs have specific age ranges such as Teen Medical School. Ages will be noted in the schedule for each camp. If your child is outside the age range but would still like to enroll them please contact us.
Our camp programs operate from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. Some locations do offer before and after care.
Below is what a typical day at camp looks like. We try to make use of the green spaces surrounding the location.
8:45am - 9:00am: Drop Off
9:15am - 10:15am: Learning Block
10:15am - 11:15am: Snack & Break Time
11:15am - 12:15pm: Learning Block
12:15pm-1:30pm: Lunch & Games
1:30pm - 2:30pm: Learning Block
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Snack & Break
3:00pm - 3:45pm: Program Related Experiment/Craft
3:45pm - 4:00pm: Pack Up
4:00pm - 4:15pm: Camper Pick Up
Please be sure campers have the following items for each day:
- Nut free lunch and at least two snacks. We have one lunch period and two snack breaks each day to give time to eat, recharge and enjoy some playtime. Food sharing is strictly prohibited at LMSN Camp
- Reusable water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing & closed-toe, closed-heel shoes
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Any doctor prescribed medications (LMSN staff will not administer medications except in case of life-threatening situation)
To ensure child safety, all campers must be signed in at the time of drop off and signed out at pick up time. Guardians must indicate the names of authorized individuals to pick up, this form will be sent out to all registrants the week before camp. You may be asked to show physical identification.
Camp locations will be posted to this page as soon as available. Additionally, an email is sent prior to the start of each camp week with this information.
This depends on camp location and enrollment of any given week but we do group campers by age as much as possible. Our curriculums are designed for flexibility to allow us to meet the learning needs of diverse age groups.
Yes, all of our instructors at every site have their First Aid and CPR certification.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to all LMSN Camps, camps run with community partners have their own policies.
Refund requests made 30 days prior to camp start date will recieve a full refund.
Refund request made 14 days prior to camp start date will recieve a 50% refund.
Participants may switch to a different camp provided at least 7 days notice and this is subject to availability.

If you child is exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms please do not send your child to camp. Follow public health guidelines and direction from a medical professional. Absences from camp due to illness are not refundable. If your child becomes ill while at camp you will be contacted to come pick them up.
We suggest parents evaluate their child's interests closely prior to enrolling their child. Should a situation arise where the child indicates their experience has not been positive we recommend you discuss the situation with one of our instructors on site. Refund requests in this situation will be reviewed but are not guaranteed.
