STEM Sleuths: Forensic Science at Memphis Jewish Community Center

August 21 @ 5:30 pm - September 25 @ 6:30 pm UTC+0

Everyone can see, but can you observe?

Kids ages 8-12 will explore the world of forensic science used to solve a crime. Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints, chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis. The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a final crime scene.

This is an experience full of STEM-based learning, activities, and crafts.

Our teachings are based on STEM principles. We aim to ignite the passion of future healthcare heroes and get them excited about how the body works, as well as the importance of health! Your child will return home with materials to show you what they learned. Of note, all the necessary materials for each class are provided to students.

Board-certified physicians and experts in the field of child education have collaborated to write our curriculum. Our instructors are well-trained and they have an interest in health sciences and education. They will deliver fun, engaging, and interactive content. Additionally, all our instructors are background checked.

Your kid will make new friends as teamwork, role-playing and collaboration are key parts of our activities. Your child will have an unforgettable time filled with lots of fun!
