Calling all Marine Biologists! 

Dive into the world of marine biology on this extraordinary expedition! Our program gives participants a hands-on, dynamic introduction to sea turtles. Each participant will become the caretaker of a plush sea turtle, conduct health checks, explore the diversity of sea turtle species, and join a team effort to rescue and release a plush Leatherback sea turtle back into the wild. The adventure concludes with a special graduation ceremony, where participants are equipped to advocate for the protection of sea turtles! We will begin with a white coat ceremony and end with a graduation ceremony. 

This is an experience full of STEM-based learning, activities, and crafts. 

Our teachings are based on STEM principles. We aim to ignite the passion of future healthcare heroes and get them excited about how the body works, as well as the importance of health! Your child will return home with materials to show you what they learned. Of note, all the necessary materials for each class are provided to students. At the end of the session, the program ends with an informal graduation ceremony where each student receives a personalized diploma. 

Board-certified physicians and experts in the field of child education have collaborated to write our curriculum. Our instructors are well-trained and they have an interest in health sciences and education. They will deliver fun, engaging, and interactive content. Additionally, all our instructors are background checked. 

Your kid will make new friends as teamwork, role-playing and collaboration are key parts of our activities. Your child will have an unforgettable time filled with lots of fun, fun…and fun!  

About the location 

Sacred Heart School is a Catholic elementary school that serves children in grades Pre-K – 8 in North Mississippi. Founded in 1947, they offer students opportunities for enrichment and more. Therefore, we are happy to partner with Sacred Heart School for this program!

Safety procedures 

Keeping in mind the safety of our children, staff, and volunteers, we follow applicable public health guidelines. All children are expected to abide by the safety rules in class. With this in mind, before beginning our sessions, our team sets safety expectations with kids if needed. These include but are not limited to the following: 

• Activity safety rules 
• Playtime safety rules 
• Outdoor rules 

For Kindergarten-5th grade. This program will take place on Mondays, October 27-December 8, 2025, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm. This program is open to Sacred Hearts Elementary students only. Please see our Covid-19 guidelines for how we are staying safe.
