Wilderness Medicine 101 with Collierville Library

June 8 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC+0

Let’s get ready to learn about medicine the outdoors!

Throughout the evening, families will be invited to explore the different stations by us, Little Medical School MidSouth. Our stations will cover topics such as bug bites, snake bites, broken bones, hypothermia, poison ivy, and general first aid kit building.

This is an experience full of STEM-based learning, activities, and crafts.

Our teachings are based on STEM principles. We aim to ignite the passion of future healthcare heroes and get them excited about how the body works, as well as the importance of health! Your child will return home with materials to show you what they learned. Of note, all the necessary materials for each class are provided to students. At the end of the session, the program ends with an informal graduation ceremony where each student receives a personalized diploma.

Board-certified physicians and experts in the field of child education have collaborated to write our curriculum. Our instructors are well-trained and they have an interest in health sciences and education. They will deliver fun, engaging, and interactive content. Additionally, all our instructors are background checked.

Your kid will make new friends as teamwork, role-playing and collaboration are key parts of our activities. Your child will have an unforgettable time filled with lots of fun, fun…and fun!
