Little Medical School - Tampa Bay is bringing two programs to Bayshore Christian Students, Little Veterinarian School and Wilderness Medicine School. Descriptions and grade levels are included below.

Little Veterinarian School - Adopt a Dog
Dates: Thursdays, March 28 - May 2
Time: 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Grades: K4-3rd
Cost: $185.00
After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, participants will role play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for their dog. These future veterinarians will perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, practice caring for a sick and injured dog, and more! At the conclusion of the program, families are invited to attend a ceremony where their “veterinarian” will graduate with their student lab coat, plush dog, and diploma.
Wilderness Medicine School
Dates: Thursdays, March 28 - May 2
Time: 4:15 - 5:15 PM
Grades: K5-5th
Cost: $185.00
Your future emergency medic will learn about wilderness survival through hands-on activities such as splinting a broken leg, tying a tourniquet, and filtering dirty water. Students will explore dangers in the wild such as inclement weather, bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. At the conclusion of the program, families are invited to attend a ceremony where the students will graduate and receive their Little Medical School emergency use bandana and diploma.
South Tampa Microschool
Little Medical School inspires young minds by sharing our passion for learning, health, and careers in medicine. Through hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations, children explore the exciting world of healthcare. All programs are written by experienced educators, board-certified physicians, and trained healthcare professionals. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School® Instructor.
Mini Medics is an innovative learning experience where students discover a variety of medical professions through fun, multi-sensory activities. Each week we will explore a new mini medic theme to develop motor skills, language, socialization, and imagination. Together, we will use the power of play to build strong minds and healthy bodies. Take home crafts and products every class for continued exploration at home. To celebrate the conclusion of the program, families are invited to attend a ceremony where these future medics will “graduate” with their own student lab coat and diploma.

About the Owners
Kristina moved home to Florida shortly after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She has a passion for educating children of all ages with her certification in grades K-6 and more than six years of professional experience in our Florida schools. After making the difficult decision to leave her full-time teaching role to stay at home with her little boy, Kristina wanted to continue the enrichment of young minds. She and her sister, Samantha, found something special. Together they are bringing the Little Medical School franchise to Tampa Bay!
