Last November 20, 2019, the Grade 4 and Grade 5 students at Glenmore Christian Academy had lots of learning and fun as Little Medical School – Calgary came over for an in-school workshop on Practical Skills in Sports Medicine. During each of the 8 (40 minute) classes, the students had an:

• • Introduction to Sports Medicine and what is a Sports Medicine Physician
  • What are the common conditions seen in Sports Medicine:
    • Recognized what are blisters
    • Practiced how to treat blisters
    • Recognized what are sprains
    • Practiced how to apply the Rest, Icing, Compression and Elevation method

The students even got to take home a completion card at the end of the session.
