Doctor’s Bag, Heart, Bones, and More!

Perfect for your little doctors ages 4 to 5!  Children learn and have fun as they dress up like doctors, learn how to use instruments doctors use, and understand how the body works!

This course was designed by a team of board-certified physicians and is led by a trained and background-checked instructor passionate about sharing their medical knowledge with young and aspiring “doctors to be.” When your child receives his or her diploma on graduation day, they’ll beam with pride and be ready to teach you everything they’ve learned.

COURSE CLASSES

1

What’s in the Doctor’s Bag

Students learn why doctors do a physical exam, how a stethoscope works and what doctors use it for during an exam

All About the Heart

Students learn the heart facts and how it works, what it looks like and its placement in the body and how the stethoscope aids in hearing normal heart sounds

All About the Muscles!

Students learn various exercises that produce movement to a variety of muscle groups, how muscles and nerves work together and the use of a reflex hammer

Bones!

Students learn about the function of bones in the body, the ways bones break and how x-rays are useful to doctors. Students learns about the ways to keep bones healthy and strong

Is there a Surgeon in the House?

Students learn the concept of “scrubbing” and how a surgeon works as part of a team

Medical Fun and Graduation

Discuss key concepts and vocabulary, understand what it takes to become a doctor and Recite the Little Medical School Oath

6 hours of total instruction, your choice of:

  • Six 1-hour sessions
  • Three 2-hour sessions
  • Custom combination

Class Size:

8-12 students per class (Recommended)

Age Range:

4-7 years (Recommended)

What LMS Provides:

One trained LMS instructor per class and a “Doctor’s Bag” activity kit for each student to keep

*To ensure our instructors may provide personal attention to every student, we recommend 8-12 students per class. For larger groups, we will provide multiple instructors and separate the group into smaller classes. If you have a unique circumstance, please contact us to discuss our custom programs.

WHAT’S IN THE DOCTORS BAG

Every student receives a kit with items to use during class and take home at the end of the program.
