Teen Medicine Summer Camp

Thinking about a career in medicine?

Students will go on a journey through the systems of the body and become familiar with the illnesses and injuries that are common to them. Using hands-on activities and engaging lessons, students will learn all about the human body, its amazing facts and curious traits.

Teen Medicine Summer Camp participants will explore and role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor and how to administer first aid in emergency situations. These future doctors will learn about lung disease, how to perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver, explore broken bones, hypothermia, snake bites, how to use a stethoscope, discuss the steps of becoming a doctor and more.

The hands-on experience this year is at a completely different level. Our youth will get to practice different suturing techniques and different kinds of injections (IV, IM, SC).

Teen Medicine Summer Camp is an experience full of STEM-based learning, activities and crafts.

Exclusive for students aged 12-16

Full-day and half-day (9 am – 12 pm) options are available.

Our teachings are based on STEM principles. We aim to ignite the passion of future healthcare heroes and get them excited about how the body works, as well as the importance of health! Every day your teen will return home with materials to show you what they learned. Of note, all the necessary materials for each class are provided to students. At the end of the session, camp concludes with a graduation ceremony where each student receives a personalized diploma.

Board-certified physicians and experts in the field of child education have collaborated to write our curriculum. Our instructors are well-trained and they have an interest in health sciences and education. They will deliver fun, engaging and interactive content. Additionally, all our instructors have provided a vulnerable sector check.

Your camper will make new friends as teamwork, role-playing and collaboration are key parts of our activities. Your camper will have an unforgettable summer filled with lots of fun, fun…and fun! 

About the location

Westboro Academy is a small and independent day school for kindergarten through Grade 8. Westboro Academy is the region’s premiere school for excellence in bilingual education and provides large outdoor spaces great for learning. Therefore, we are happy to partner with Westboro Academy for this camp.

We will conduct as many activities as possible outdoors, weather permitting! 

Safety procedures

Keeping in mind the safety of our participants, staff and volunteers, we follow applicable public health guidelines. All campers are expected to abide by the safety rules at camp. With this in mind, every week before beginning our sessions, our team sets safety expectations with campers. These include but are not limited to the following:

• Fire safety and practice
• Playtime safety rules
• Outdoor rules

If you didn’t find a spot, please register on our waitlist for free. In the event of increased registration, additional classes may open.

We do not provide food. Please make sure that lunch boxes are NUT-free!

Additionally, your teen will need unscented sunscreen and a towel/picnic blanket. Some classes will be conducted outdoors.
